The British Cave Rescue Council wish to extend sincere condolences to the family and friends of Duangpetch Promthep, the former captain of the Wild Boars youth football team, on news of his tragic death.
The BCRC cave divers, Executive committee and the wider UK cave rescue community assisted the Thai authorities in 2018, as part of an international effort to rescue ‘Dom’ and his friends of the Wild Boars football team and coach from Tham Luang cave, Chiang Rai Province, Thailand. Those were momentous days for all cave rescuers involved and we are saddened at news of the death of someone so young, especially after surviving such an ordeal.
